Sam “Tape Face” Wills and Christina Balonek – Tape Face – Net Worth – Sam WillsĪfter subsequent TV appearances that followed his performances on America’s Got Talent, Tape Face went on to tour worldwide and perform his show in Las Vegas. He discovered that there was a man living in his neighborhood who was an entertainer and clown – so Sam plucked up the courage to knock on the man’s door and begged to be given a chance to be the man’s apprentice. His passion for entertaining began when he was 12 years old. Sam Wills was born in Timaru, New Zealand, on the 28 th of August 1978 and grew up with a love of comedy. Tape Face (real name – Sam Wills) is a prop comic who lives and performs in Las Vegas. Here's hoping post-COVID he gets some more momentum and makes the show special again. What is Tape Face’s net worth? What is Tape Face’s real name? Who was Sam Wills married to? Introduction But I'd love to see him resume iterating on his act and unique approach to his art form, rather than just repeating it in a less favorable setting. I’m hoping these are growing pains because Tape Face is one of my favorite modern comedy acts otherwise, and that whole T2 "chance of seeing a fake rather than Sam Wills when I was paying to see Sam Wills and *ONLY* Sam Wills" thing appears to be gone now-thankfully, since trying to emulate "Gallagher 2" of all models by mass producing an act is like forfeiting any claim to artistry and flushing your comedy career down the toilet. His finale does work better in that theater, though, with everyone close to the stage, and maybe he can play with more of those types of segments somehow. ![]() Since his act is all exaggerated facial expressions and how he surprises you with props he cobbles together out of sight, angle is key, and viewing from the side is actively bad and detracts from the show by ruining all the surprises. The newer theater puts you looking at his act from the side unless you’re very lucky. It’s much, much wider than it is deep, unlike the older theater with the big center aisle down the middle. But the biggest issue is his new(er) theater at Harrah’s. ![]() He needs better ways to ditch people when an audience member choice turns out to bad, as getting a couple in a row really gutted the flow. They burned a ton of time while we all yawned. I think we may even have missed some segments due to a couple of older men who respectively refused to participate in a sketch and tried to steal the show doing weird "creepy fingers" stuff. He also had some bad luck with audience members that really struggled with participation and dragged the show. His show was more or less the same, and he seemed to rush through his original AGT routines without the crispness of motion and surprise that made them funny before-honestly he seemed kind of bored with them. Tape Face was quite a bit weaker this time than when I saw him a couple-few years ago.

But if we start carbonyl group right over here we call that the one carbon or the one prime carbon. Let me number the carbons because carbon numbering is important when we talk about DNA. Actually it can take many different cyclical forms but the one that's most typically described is when you have that. This is when it's just as a straight chain and like many sugars, it can take a cyclical form. What I have depicted here, this sugar, this is ribose. This sugar is based on, it's a five-carbon sugar. It is a cycle, it is a ring and it looks an awful lot like a sugar and that's because it is a sugar. The next thing you might notice is this group right over here. Now the next thing you might notice, the next thing you might notice is. Each of these nucleotides they have a phosphate group. And so that's why it has its, that's where it gets the name acid form from. You're actually depicting the conjugate base here but that's where it gets its acidic name from because it starts protonated or it gets in this acid form, it's protonated but it readily loses it. The phosphate groups are what make it, are what make it an acid but it's confusing sometimes because usually when you see it depicted, you see it with these negative charges and that's because it has already lost its hydrogen proton. If it wasn't in a solution it would have the hydrogens but it would be very acidic as soon as you put it into a neutral solution it's going to lose those hydrogens. These oxygen can grab these electrons and then these hydrogen will just be grabbed by another water molecule or something so the proton will be let go. This so badly wants to grab these electrons. If you get rid of the negative charge and if this was bounded, this is bonded to a hydrogen. Let me get rid of the negative charge just on this one. ![]() Actually the DNA if we actually want to be formal about it, the DNA molecules would actually have its phosphates protonated like this but it so badly wants to lose these hydrogen protons so it typically would be, let me draw it like this. The reason why its DNA is typically drawn with these negative charges here is that it's so acidic and that if you put it in into a neutral solution, it's actually going to lose its hydrogens. ![]() How can you call this an acid? This actually looks more basic. Something with a negative charge would attract protons, it would sap up protons. The way you've drawn it Sal, you have a negative charge. Now the phosphate groups are actually what make DNA or actually what make nucleic acid an acid. This is a phosphate group over here and this is a phosphate group over here. Each of these nucleotides have a phosphate group. This is a phosphate group right over here. The one thing that might jump out at you is we have these phosphate groups. Now let's think about the different pieces of that nucleotide. These two are on this left side of the ladder, these two are on the right side of the ladder. Depicted here, we essentially have four nucleotides. We have a nucleotide right over here on the right side and then right below that we have another. On the right hand side we have a nucleotide, we have a nucleotide right over there and then, actually I want to do it, let me do it slightly different. That's one nucleotide and then it's connected to another. What I am cordoning off, what I am cordoning off right over here could be considered, could be considered a nucleotide. A nucleotide, let me separate off the nucleotide. These are kind of the rungs of the ladder. This is the other side of the ladder and then each of these bridges, and I will talk about what molecules these are. You could view this side right over here as one of the, I guess you can say the backbones of one side of the ladder. What does a nucleotide look like? Well, what I have right over here is I have two strands, I've zoomed two strands of DNA or I've zoomed in two strands of DNA. It's made up of nucleo, nucleo, nucleotides. Now each DNA molecule is made up of a chain of what we call nucleotides. That's where the nucleic comes from and we'll talk about in a second why it's called an acid but I'll wait on that. DNA is just a junction for nucleic acid and it's the term nucleic that comes from the fact that it's found in the nucleus. So I'm just gonna put this on the side and now let's actually look at the molecular structure and how it relates to this actual name, deoxyribonucleic acid. I'm gonna write the different parts of the word in different colors. Let's just remind ourselves what DNA stands for. Actually get into the molecular structure of DNA. What I want to do in this video is dig a little bit deeper. We already have an overview video of DNA and I encourage you to watch that first. ![]() ![]() You can help bring these children home by looking at the photographs and calling 800-THE-LOST (80) if you recognize a child.
