Sam “Tape Face” Wills and Christina Balonek – Tape Face – Net Worth – Sam WillsĪfter subsequent TV appearances that followed his performances on America’s Got Talent, Tape Face went on to tour worldwide and perform his show in Las Vegas. He discovered that there was a man living in his neighborhood who was an entertainer and clown – so Sam plucked up the courage to knock on the man’s door and begged to be given a chance to be the man’s apprentice. His passion for entertaining began when he was 12 years old. Sam Wills was born in Timaru, New Zealand, on the 28 th of August 1978 and grew up with a love of comedy. Tape Face is an original, silent character that dresses in black and white clothing and is similar to the comedic styles of Charlie Chaplin and Mr Bean. ![]() He has had a successful career which started in 2001, and he won several awards and accolades for his performances as Tape Face, conquering America after success in New Zealand and London when he became a finalist on America’s Got Talent. Tape Face (real name – Sam Wills) is a prop comic who lives and performs in Las Vegas. Here's hoping post-COVID he gets some more momentum and makes the show special again. What is Tape Face’s net worth? What is Tape Face’s real name? Who was Sam Wills married to? Introduction But I'd love to see him resume iterating on his act and unique approach to his art form, rather than just repeating it in a less favorable setting. I’m hoping these are growing pains because Tape Face is one of my favorite modern comedy acts otherwise, and that whole T2 "chance of seeing a fake rather than Sam Wills when I was paying to see Sam Wills and *ONLY* Sam Wills" thing appears to be gone now-thankfully, since trying to emulate "Gallagher 2" of all models by mass producing an act is like forfeiting any claim to artistry and flushing your comedy career down the toilet. His finale does work better in that theater, though, with everyone close to the stage, and maybe he can play with more of those types of segments somehow. ![]() Since his act is all exaggerated facial expressions and how he surprises you with props he cobbles together out of sight, angle is key, and viewing from the side is actively bad and detracts from the show by ruining all the surprises. The newer theater puts you looking at his act from the side unless you’re very lucky. It’s much, much wider than it is deep, unlike the older theater with the big center aisle down the middle. But the biggest issue is his new(er) theater at Harrah’s. ![]() He needs better ways to ditch people when an audience member choice turns out to bad, as getting a couple in a row really gutted the flow. They burned a ton of time while we all yawned. I think we may even have missed some segments due to a couple of older men who respectively refused to participate in a sketch and tried to steal the show doing weird "creepy fingers" stuff. He also had some bad luck with audience members that really struggled with participation and dragged the show. His show was more or less the same, and he seemed to rush through his original AGT routines without the crispness of motion and surprise that made them funny before-honestly he seemed kind of bored with them. Tape Face was quite a bit weaker this time than when I saw him a couple-few years ago.
